Enterprise Conferences
Since 2004, we’ve held fun and enterprising
conferences for young people from primary and secondary
schools and those on Modern Apprenticeship programme
across Hull. Children from across Hull have come
together for events to enterprising fun, games and
education.
Youth
Enterprise Strategy Action Plan
With funding from Yorkshire Forward “Humber
Office” we have developed Hull’s first
strategy to Support Hull’s Enterprising Young
People. This includes an agreed action plan to be
monitored and reported on to the Local Strategic
Partnership following the undertaking of a mapping
exercise.
Young
Enterprise Co-operation.
Promoting companies established under the Young
Enterprise programme in Hull and the East Riding,
and encouraged partner organisations to use their
services.
Managed
the “Supporting Hull’s Enterprising
Young People” activity promoting Youth Enterprise
in the City.
Developed
a programme in the Bransholme Area of the City in
partnership with local community partners.
Held
well attended events for Community Workers supporting
enterprising young people in the Bransholme and
East Hull Areas.
Sponsored,
promoted and piloted school Enterprise Programme
throughout the city.
Established
a Youth Enterprise Bank giving grants to enterprising
13-25 year olds and promotion of Wilberforce 2007,
Black and Ethnic minorities and Refugees within
Hull.
Sponsored
Fair-trade Fortnight in Hull and promoted the sale
of Fair-trade products through the Youth Enterprise
Bank.
Embedded
the concept of a “sign posting” Youth
Enterprise Service at the BeSPoKe Centre in Bransholme
within the local community and ensured it is now
open 5 days a week.
Between
Oct 2004 and January 2008 mentored over 350 young
people wishing to develop their ideas for the establishment
of a new enterprise or community activity.
Enabled
the establishment of nearly 75 businesses run by
young people aged under 25 and assisted with general
support to many more.
