YOUTH ENTERPRISE - FUNDING PAGE


We are dedicated to providing you with the latest information on possible local streams of funding available for your business. There are three options available for obtaining finance:

A grant is a sum of money paid to an individual or business for a specific purpose or project.
A loan will require repayment. Interest will also be charged in many cases an arrangement fee may be applied.
Equity finance is a way of raising share capital from external investors in return for handing over a share of the business.

The John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank.
This fund is for young people of Hull aged up to and including 19 years of age. It offers grants of up to £1,000 for individuals or groups of young people who need finance to help make their idea happen.

Acorn Fund.
Your enterprising idea might be entitled to receive a loan up to £10,000 - £15,000 for new companies less than 18 months old or a maximum grant of £5,000. For further details visit www.hullbdf.com.

Sirius.
Sirius is a registered Enterprise Agency created and supported by BP at Saltend. They can offer business loans for start-ups and business expansions in the Hull and Holderness areas. Sirius will help you to produce a business plan if necessary. More .....

Hull Skills Fund
The aim of the fund is to help raise the level of skills of Hull’s workforce. If you're an employer and are interested in the fund, you'll need to pay about half the cost of the training. Small/medium enterprises based in Hull (HU1 – HU9) with a workforce of up to 500 employees or Hull residents employed by small/medium enterprise can apply for funding. There is a limit of £2,000 of funding available per employee. More .....
